Should I be worried?
My Savannah is 5 months old. Having 2 other kids, I personally thought she should be doing a few more things than she is. Like pushing up on her arms when he belly, and rolling over. I understand that all children develop differently, but it *kind of* upsets me when I see other babies her age rolling over completely etc... It makes me think theres something developmentally wrong going on. I know I may just be over reacting, but I wanted to ask you guys. What do you think? She trys to roll over, but doesn't accomplish it. Its like shes content just doing what shes doing.

Well, first you have to look at the temperment of your baby?
Is she a go-getter? Is she full of **** and vinegar? Is she laid-back?
Then you have to look at how many people are catering to her. And then you look have to look at her as if she's your first, and don't compare her to everyone else
Isaac's my third and he's eight months today. He just learned to sit up unassisted last week! LAST WEEK! He's inching forward on his belly but not crawling. He's not pulling up. He's not trying to walk.
He can roll, but seemed late in learning that as well (I think it was 5-6 months when he mastered that).
Oh, is she verbal?
Isaac is. Much so. He imitates things we say (though has no recognition of what it means yet) and is always making sounds and trying to manipulate things with his hands also.
She's probably developing somewhere else - so don't worry.
Hannah was my worry child and I wasted her entire first year worried - she didn't sit til nine months, walk til 14 months, and didn't talk til she was two. And now? She's right on.

I was worried about my youngest, Wednesday, because she was slower than all four of the older ones at everything. She refused to sit, refused to roll, refused to crawl and then one boom...off she went. She has caught up and is doing fine. I wouldn't worry just yet, and if need be ask her Pediatrician.

She is very laid back, has slept thru the night since birth.Never really cries. She is VERY verbal! So much so that people hear her while I'm on the phone and say "Is that Savannah?" I just want to make sure shes getting the help mastering her milestones, if she needs it. Thanks so much! Your post made me feel better!

Julie the other ladies are roght. I wouldn't worry.
The more kids that are in the house and the more adults doing things for her. The less likely she is going to do things on her own as soon as you had hoped she would.
However she will in time. Then you will be coming back here saying Help she wont stop.

I agree with the other ladies Julie, Don't worry. sometimes I think they put too many milestones out there. They didn't have that when I was little. The only milestone that I believe is super essential is that they are responding to noise and eye contact. The rest just usually comes in their own time.
