Trash parties

I am just the opposite of a packrat sometimes. Do you have trash parties. Where you go through the house and anything you hate or don't want gets ditched?

I am definitely that way!! I think it's because my mom is such a packrat that it really affected me growing up. She would create "collections" for us and I would get obsessive about them. I made a conscious effort when I started moving from apartment to apartment with Dave to be less attached to things. I'm still very much that way.

Yes, when I decide I have had enough... Sonny is really picky with that. His parents were both really bad pack rats

We are pack rats here, but ever so often I get fed up with it and go through and trash anything that isn't needed.

I do it at least once a year for our annual yard sale. With the girls getting stuff back out, it turns into quite a chore.

I try to clean out the clutter from each room at least once a month. If I don't need it, if I have a duplicate, or if keeping it doesn't make me smile, it goes
