Do I just let him learn on his own?

OK.... heres the scoop. You all remember the thread (if you saw it) that Luke has this dance-off thing. Well, he chats to a girl named Madison alot on his cell. They are in the same class. Now.... He wants to go w/ her... and he asked her, and she said yes.. However.... two other guys (kids

) have asked her too and she ALSO said yes to them? Now wth? I don't get a good vibe about this girl... I mean shes 10, so I guess boys are "new" to her and if everyone likes her, shes eating it up. My issue is this... she calls him like 25 times a day... as late as 10 at night (when he is in bed) and I answer all the time and keep telling her he can't have calls after 8. She gets soooo very snotty w/ me... I just don't care for that at all!!!!!

So here he is right now chatting w/ her again, and Luke said she needs to just choose a guy... but shes all giggly and "well, i dunno?!?!?!" He said he doesn't want to do the whole dance thing if she won't go w/ him

.... so.... do i butt in and explain that she shouldn't be agreeing w/ three kids to go w/ and she strings him on. Of coarse I would put it as delicate as possible... OR~~~ do I let him live and learn... as it IS his first crush.... then help him deal w/ it later? Forgive me..

but i am so not used to this stuff... Its all new to me. I'm used to him cuddling w/ Mommy and playing board games... Cheating on the games is about the worst it gets. This tween/teen stuff is for the birds ladies!!!! Moms are supposed to know everything.. I do believe I am stuck on this one!

Honestly, I would let him learn his own lessons. Who knows, maybe the four of them will end up being great friends. The future of this little group is unknown. Let him decide what to do and be there when he needs to talk later, without judgement, but ask him what lessons he learned in the experience.

im not sure. lm still in the baby faze. however when i was a tween / teen, my mother really didn't but in. she let me figure it out on my own and would interfere when i needed her and asked for help or advice. but she is my mother and you met her shes a little crazy. so i say do the oposite of that.

Just pick...... etc" OMGoodness its KILLIN' me!!! But yea, I suppose they could all be great friends.... after all he is only ten. I just wanna flick him and say "DUDE.... get a grip!!!!

I am going to keep tabs of the situation though... If he starts to grovel toooooo much... I will have to say something little to him.... BLAH!!!!

Oh no. . .graveling at TEN??? this stuff starts WAY too young for me!!

I think I would wait too, and just keep tabs, and step in if it gets to be too big of a deal. I would remind him the dance is supposed to be FUN! Not filled with stress about who he'll go with!!!

i dont think he should be grovling, but your doing the right thing and when it gets to be to much step in, and be there when he needs you.

It all goes so fast now!

But as for me, and what I'd do, I'd keep an eye on it, be there to pick up the pieces, but basically stand back. AND be sure to keep it open in case he wants to talk. No secrets type thing.

Man .... he's what ... ten?

And as a side-note: why is she allowed to call that late???

UGH I had something typed out but it didn't show up.

I wish I could give you advice to add to what everyone else said but when ever I try to give Lequetta "relationship" advice she tells me to but out.
