Summer Reading?

Do you have them doing extra reading during the summer? Do they have a list that the school provides for them?

Yes, mine will be reading for 30 minutes every day to just keep them going

Not the boys but Tiffany is in a reading thing at the Library. She has to read 10 books in so many weeks.

I encourage ALOT of reading year round. We don't have a list, we just check out books that I've read and enjoyed, or that I've heard about on homeschooling lists, or just stuff that I think they'll find neat.

My DD like the "Junie B." series. She has just finished the first book and is getting the second from the library when it gets in. I have set her to read the whole set before school starts this fall.

Now that she doesn't have to read, Morgan is reading even more! She's working on Mrs. Piggle Wiggle right now.

Ash reads anything and everything she gets her hands on. Lequetta had to read two novels over the summer (and then take a test on August 1st) in order to be in the advance English class. Other then those two required books she reads all the time.
